I have decided to revive this blog. Work has bogged me down the past few months but I need an outlet to get away from all of it. Anyway I recently purchased a Nikkor 24-70 2.8 lens that is so damn expensive but is worth every peso. It is tack sharp at f2.8 and, focuses really fast and built like a tank. Did I mention that it is so damn expensive?! I also bought an 80-200 2.8 last December and all my lenses are fast 2.8 lemses from 11-16mm, 24-70mm, and 80-200. Oh I also have a micro Nikkor 105mm 2.8 and the nifty fifty 1.8. I love my current lens lineup and hopefully(crossing my fingers) I will be satisfied with this lineup up until next year.

Anyway on to my post... I ate dinner at Shou Zou with my mom before visiting my grandmother who is confined in Cardinal Santos Hospital. We ordered Steamed Beef with garlic, Tofu with century egg and pork floss, and Pork and Vegetables Fried Rice. Yum Yum! By the way these were all shot at f2.8 ISO 800 using my new lens! :)

Here is an almost 1 year old pic of Batanes Resort. This was where we stayed at during our Batanes Trip. It located about 15-20min walk from the town but it has a breathtaking view of the ocean since it is situated along the coastline of the island.

Trumpeter 1/35 M1127 Stryker

I've been really busy lately with work so it has been awhile since I last updated this blog. Anyway I'll post some photos of my recently finished Trumpeter 1/35 M1127 Stryker plastic model kit. This vehicle is the latest armored multirole vehicle of the US military. This is what I have been doing during my free time lately... Yes I need to shoot more often! I guess I got tired shooting since I have been taking pics for work more than personal stuff during the past few months. Anyway back to the topic, I started modeling when I was in grade 5 I think then I stopped late High School and just recently started again although this time more seriously. I ordered a new airbrush from the net and used some of my old paints. I weathered it using pastel chalk for the mud and dust. This kit took me about 2 months to build and paint since I just squeezed it in my busy schedule. Roughly it took about 30 hours to build. I have another kit in line this time a 1/48 Tamiya Sky-Raider ground attack fighter that was used during the Vietnam War. :P

Subic Treetop Adventure

I spent the last long weekend with my whole family ++ at Subic. We went to the Treetop Adventure and did the Canopy Walk and the Superman Zip line! I was able to eat there again last week when I chaperoned my sister to Nueva Ejica. It was my third time to shoot this place but this time I was armed with a new camera. For the 1st time I was able to shoot it with the afternoon light and the place had a new section with giant Buddha statues which I posted in my previous post entitled "Thailand Kuno".

Ateneo Vs. FEU

I watched the Ateneo vs. FEU game this afternoon and brought my new cam to test its high ISO capabilities.. and all I can say is.. I'm fuckin impressed!!!! The 5fps was really sweet!

:P I was used to using my old D70s which only went up to ISO 1600 and only usable until ISO 800. These shots were straight from the cam in ISO 2000 hires jpeg mode. I only cropped some of them a bit because my seat wasn't that fantastic as you can see at the last photo in this set. Sorry I know these are not tack sharp, the lens that I used was just my trusty nikon 18-200vr and not a pro lens coz I don't own one... yet hehe! :D

I just got myself a Nikon D300 yesterday! Wohooo!!! Sad to say but I think its time for my D70s to retire... I've been busy so I wasn't able to shoot much except for some test shots in the house so here is a pic of Pugsley using my D300 and 50mm 1.8 lens. This was shot in ISO 800 and I am really amazed how this camera controls noise! :D

The Maria Dolorosa has been with our family for generations already. It has been a family tradition to bring her out and join the processsion in Cavite during Holy Week. So we are all required to spend the whole holy week in Cavite and to attend the procession... :(
